Privacy and Cookies Policy

1. Personal Data

We publish this document to explain the reasons why we collect and process personal data as part of our business activities:

  1. What is personal data?

This refers to all information that makes it possible, without much effort, to distinguish one person from another. It may directly concern that person (such as name, identification number, sometimes even email address or online account), as well as information not directly describing them. For example, it may relate to their characteristics, health status, beliefs, place of residence, addictions, race, or religion.

  1. What personal data are we referring to in our case?

We process data provided to us by our Clients, Contractors, and Employees in connection with the use of our services, cooperation with us, or employment.

  1. What does data processing mean?

Processing refers to any activity we may perform with personal data – including active use such as collection, retrieval, recording, combining, modifying, or sharing, as well as passive use such as storage, restriction, deletion, or destruction.

  1. Who is the Data Controller (i.e., who determines the processing and security of the data)?

The controller of your data is Kancelaria Adwokacka Adwokat Łukasz Buczko, ul. Ściegiennego 17/4, 46-200 Kluczbork, NIP: 751 166 71 40

  1. On what legal basis and for what purpose do we process your data?

Any processing of your data must be based on an appropriate legal basis in accordance with applicable laws. This may be your consent or other legal provisions set out in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council of 27 April 2016 (“GDPR”) or in various national laws and regulations.

Your data may be processed by us for several different purposes, for example:

  • You may provide your data by sending an email. In this case, your data is processed based on your consent, which is automatically given when you send us your data (e.g., email address). This consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time. If you withdraw consent, we will promptly delete the information you provided unless you have become our client.
  • If you are our Client or interested in our services, we process your data in relation to the contract with you or its preparation. This always happens with your knowledge and will. You are aware of the personal data needed to conclude the contract, and once signed, you know what data was or will be provided.
  • We may also process your data to ensure the security of our IT network and information, such as when you access our systems or website. This is our legitimate interest.
  • If you are applying for a job with us, your data is processed as part of your application or CV, based on your knowledge and written consent, which can be withdrawn at any time. If withdrawn, we will delete your data, and your application will not be considered. If you become our employee, the rules and obligations for data processing are governed by labor law.
  1. To whom do we transfer your data?

According to applicable law, we may transfer your data to entities processing it on our behalf, such as postal operators, accounting firms, IT service providers, or subcontractors specified in contracts with you. We are also required to share data upon request of authorities legally entitled to request it (e.g., courts or law enforcement), provided they submit a formal request with a legal basis.

We do not plan to transfer your data to third countries or international organizations outside the European Economic Area. Within the EU, GDPR ensures the same level of data protection. The full text of the GDPR is available at:
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/PL/TXT/?uri=OJ:L:2016:119:TOC

  1. How long will we process your data?

We make great efforts to limit the scope and duration of data processing. We regularly review our paper and electronic documents and delete those no longer needed. However, the duration may be determined by legal obligations, such as labor, social security, or accounting regulations.

If you have used our services and signed a contract, we must retain your data in financial documentation for five calendar years from the date of purchase/contract.

If we intend to use your data for any purpose other than originally collected, we will inform you and allow you to object.

  1. What are your rights regarding your data?

If we process your personal data, you have the right to:

  • request access – under Art. 15 of the GDPR,
  • request correction – under Art. 16,
  • request deletion – under Art. 17,
  • request processing restriction – under Art. 18,
  • object to processing – under Art. 21,
  • data portability and obtain a copy – under Art. 20.

These rights are detailed in Articles 15–21 of the GDPR:
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/PL/TXT/?uri=OJ:L:2016:119:TOC

You may also withdraw your consent, and we will promptly delete your data unless there is a legal obligation to continue processing. For example, if you unsubscribe from a newsletter, we will immediately remove your email from the mailing list.

If you believe that we have violated your rights or failed to secure your data, you have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is currently the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

  1. Automated decision-making and profiling.

We do not make any automated decisions based on your data, nor do we engage in profiling.

  1. How do we protect your data?

To protect your data, we use legally required organizational and technical measures. We have installed physical safeguards at our office and only authorized personnel may process data, within the scope necessary for their duties.

  1. Privacy protection for minors

Our website does not monitor or verify users’ age. Contact information from visitors (like phone numbers or email addresses) is used to fulfill orders or send company information.

Minors should not send any information, place orders, or subscribe to services without parental or guardian consent. We require such consent if we learn that a user is a minor under applicable data protection law.
